Quarto. xviii 399pp, [xii] 461pp, 425pp. Color frontispieces. Bound in original full velum with gilt decorations and spine lettering. This edition is limited to 402 copies, numbered from 1492 to 1893, this copy being number 1658. Illustrated with etchings and steel engravings on India paper, photogravures on Japan paper. This limited edition printed with extra plates that are not present in the trade edition. Limitation statement states that this was printed for Robert Withers Vaux of St. Paul, MN. Some light soiling to the covers as is common with vellum. Handsome set. BAL 10124.
