Signature on front endpaper, possibly a relative of the subject? ""Silas Wright from Ben 1860"" and ""Silas Wright Sandy Hill New York"" [now Hudson Falls]. 378 pages, text whole and complete. Endpapers replaced/repaired, binding flawed and quite worn. Wright, 1795-1847, was a lawyer and politician from upstate New York. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, was State Comptroller and Governor, and supporter of Martin Van Buren.
