This book covers all the important military endeavors of Davis from the War in Mexico, Battle of Buena Vista, his appointment in the U.S. Senate, and his election as president of the Confederate States of America. This book also includes important sections on the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln and the emancipation of southern slaves.
