Henry Kirke White was an English poet and hymn writer, he died at the age of 21. This work commemorates and celebrates his work. though he died young his poetry was celebrated by Robert Southey. This copy includes seven plates showing rural scenes explored within his poetry. Bound in a decorative morocco binding. Externally generally smart. Rubbing to the boards and spine. Damp stain to the front board resulting in it warping. Internally generally firmly bound. Tide mark to the first few pages. Additional tide marks to pages 80, 81, 98, and 521. Pages are generally clean. Ink inscription to the first leaf. Good
