Very Good. 4 vols. frontis (in each volume), folding map, vii, 482, [plus 2p. adverts.], v, 458, [plus 2p. adverts.], viii, 482, vii, 432p. plus [4]p. adverts. Original green cloth. Backstrips show fading and are worn along top. Later owner's name inked on first blank page in each volume. INSCRIBED by Napier to C. W. Randolph (from "the Author") on the title-page of Vol. I. Bookplate of Charles Wilson Randolph in each volume. Much of the book deals with Napier's exploits in British India; the first volume deals much more briefly with his efforts in the Peninsular Campaign, in Greece and elsewhere.
