The individual that the author signed the book for is referred to in the preface as a veteran Wisconsin educator and historian, that provided much of the information concerning the subject of the biography and his La Crosse background. Volume itself has dark blue leatherette covers with sharp gilt lettering on the spine. Cover is protected in a clear archival quality Brodart cover, easily removeable, if desired. There is a touch of wear at the head and tail of the spine and at some corners. The very beginnings of age toning, which I recognize only by comparing this volume to another in my possession. This is the original book signed by the noted historian, editor, and author, University of Chicago Ph.D, Milo Milton Qualife (1880-1959), killed in a terrible automobile accident in upper Michigan in December 1959; not a foreign reprint. All in all, a very nice copy available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box.
