University of the Free State / Sol Plaatje Educational Trust 2003.. A VG+ copy.. Printed wraps. 66pp stapled booklet. Riemvasmaak was one of the earliest scenes of forced removal under the apartheid government's black spot clearance programme. The Xhosa inhabitants were removed to the Ciskei in 1973 and the others to Namibia in 1974. The new democratic government made them the beneficiaries of the first resettlement project with varying degrees of success and satisfaction.
