Complete in one volume. Nicely illustrated with 14 full-page engraved plates (including portraits, maps, facsimile documents and other illustrations). There are nine Appendices at the back, including Washington's Farewell Address, Washington's Will, the Character of Washington, Washington's Rules of Behavior, the Origin and Genealogy of the Washington Family, and more. Affixed to the front pastedown is a label indicating that this copy was awarded to a finalist for the "George Washington Book Prize ~ Mount Vernon Virginia."

Condition:
The book has been custom rebound in full leather with modern end papers. Clean covers and spine. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no loose pages. There is a crack at the front hinge between two blank end papers (despite the crack, the front cover is still firmly attached and is not shaky). Consistent mild foxing to the pages throughout the book, though heavier on the illustrated plates, and to the pages before/after them. "George Washington Book Prize" presentation label affixed to the front pastedown. Overall the book is in Good condition.
