Volume is a solid and tight copy. A liquid stain is present on the top margin of a large portion of the first half of the text. Binding has been laminated. Closed tears on the top of pages 467-476 and page 69 of Volume II. Volume is from the New Hudson Edition of the works of Washington Irving. "The present volume treats of the earlier part of Washington's life previous to the war of the Revolution, giving his expeditions into the wilderness, his campaigns on the frontier in the old French war; and the other 'experiences,' by which his character was formed, and he was gradually trained up and prepared for his great destiny."
