Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1901. Farnham (1841-1929) wrote this biography of the great American historian as part of the "New Library Edition" of Parkman's works. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Olive green cloth binding, with decorative gilt titling on the spine. Clean text; xv, 394 pages, with two pages of publisher adverts in the rear. Internally this is a Fine copy with an exceptionally bright an fresh textblock. Gilt on the spine somewhat dulled, and some spots at the lower edges of the covers. A nice copy.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
