London: Adam & Charles Black, 1974. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 760. Blue pictorial dust jacket, dark blue cloth covered boards with cameo of Cook stamped in gilt, and black leather title piece on the spine lettered in gilt. Generally considered to be the definitive biography of Cook. Includes a bibliography and index. A very good copy. There are traces of tape on the boards, and foxing on the fore-edge. The jacket has edge wear, and one closed tear. Overall, a very good copy.
