Introduction – What does it mean to be an Australian by Craig McGregor, list of photographers, and photographic credits. The text is illustrated with both colour and black-and-white photographs taken by various photographers – such as James Anderson, David Beal, John Wong and Lance Nelson e.g.; some of the photographs are foldout. Beige coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Colour photographic dustwrapper with orange and black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Cardboard orange coloured slipcase, with the same photograph pasted on to the front panel (same image as per dustwrapper) with white coloured titles to the top edge. Published in the late 1960s a look at Australia then and in the future. Contributors include Geoffrey Dutton, Douglas Lockwood, Patrick Tennison and John Douglas Pringle.  Rubbing of the book corners and backstrip corners. Light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Some rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels and there is quite noticeable yellowing of the white coloured background. The poor old slipcase has born the brunt of use – please see photograph. The front edge is chipped, rubbed and sunned. Rubbing of the slipcase edges with chipping to the backstrip region along with some creases. The backstrip has become unstuck from the rest of the slipcase. Rubbing, marks and stains to the slipcase panels with the photographic cameo being rubbed and slightly faded.
