About This Item
Baltimore Catholic Review/Mount Vernon Press, 1929. First Edition. Hardback. Good. Hardback, 1929. Mount Vernon Press. Large hardback (approximately 9" x 12"), textured black boards with image of Baltimore Cathedral in faded gilt to front board. Slight bumpint/wear to corners. One page near front appears to have been tipped in after binding, and the glue has turned brittle and the page detached. The binding itself is solid. A fascinating examination of the life of Archbishop Michael Joseph Curley on the occassion of his Silver Sacerdotal Jubilee; the author was managing editor of The Baltimore Catholic Review. Approximately thirty pages of sponsoring advertisements to the rear, some illustrated as with The Emerson Hotel.
