UsedGood. 1866 printing. An early biography of Lincoln printed shortly after his death. Brown leather boards with gilt lettering on spine. Book shows considerable age, heavy rubbing and tanning to cover. Spine jacket is cracked and partially hanging, with top 1 cm. missing & binding showing through. Top half of front hinge starting with webbing showing through. Book generally fragile, but intact. Spine cracked, all pages remain, including glassine paper over frontis. Mild spotting and yellowing to page edges. Text clean, no notes or underlining. Overall fair condition, affordable copy of a scarce Civil War-era title.
