Londyn: Lofox. Good with no dust jacket. 1943. First Edition. Hardcover. KB57...60 pp. With a gift inscription from the author dated London 1944. Small octavo, dull red cloth over cardbord covers with stamped black title and author name on the front cover. Covers are generally lightly worn, front cover has a crease and a few small marks. Interior is clean and unmarked. In Czech. A play set in the doomed town of Lidice in 1942, written by Emil Synek, a Czech author and playwright who fled Prague in 1938 and went to France where he fought with the Czech militia until he was evacuated at Dunkirk. In London, where this book was published, he joined the exiled Benes government. Quite scarce in both commerce and in libraries, but especially scarce with the inscription, Which translates as: "To Eva Dubická (? ) , as a memory of the friendship with your father during the times of immigration in Paris and London. With gratitude, Emil Synek In London, 17. September 1944" OCLC 791161288.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 60 pages; Signed by Author .
