London: J. & J. Knapton, R. Knaplock, J. & B. Sprint, et al., 1727. First UK EDITION. Full Leather. Very Good. Thick Quarto. Unpaginated. Complete with half-title, title in red and black, text printed in triple columns. Contemporary sprinkled calf, spine densely gilt in compartments between raised bands, morocco label, gilt. Extremities rubbed, small piece chipped from head of spine, short split to lower portion of front joint, but a clean copy internally in a still sound and attractive binding. The First Edition of Hederich's Greek lexicon edited by Samuel Patrick and printed in England. Hederich's valuable lexicon was originally published at Leipzig in 1722, and was widely used as a textbook and reissued by a succession of editors well into the 19th century.
