Very large, thicker, sturdy softcover, glossy wrappers, dark gray spine, back wrapper and front borders, a photograph of Simone writing at center front, 531 pages. Very tiny light crease at top front tip, very slight wear to bottom front tip, light crease at middle bottom back edge. Near Fine.
Synopsis
Simone de Beauvoir taught philosophy at the Sorbonne between 1931 and 1943. Her many books include The Second Sex , the novels She Came to Stay and The Mandarins and her great autobiographical writings from Memoirs of a Dutiful Daughter to Old Age . De Beauvoir died in 1986.
