Black and white coloured illustrations, throughout by Norman Lindsay. Colour illustrated card cover with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The letters have been brilliantly edited by David Adams to make a running story that reads like a novel, about a proper young Englishwoman joining her brother in Australia in 1854, and, after an initial period of adjustment, took to the pioneer life with gusto. Creasing of the book corners and rubbing of the edges and panels. Reading crease to the back strip with light tanning of the text block edges and pages. Previous owners name to the top edge of the verso of the front panel. A little creasing of the front text edge. Marks to the panels. Size: 12 mo (standard paperback).
