1st Edition / 1st Printing, 1936. Dustwrapper and 2-page black/white cartoons by LOW (Sir David Alexander Cecil Low, 1891 - 1963). Very Good condition with occasional spotting and browning to rear blanks/pastedowns. No inscriptions. In near Very Good original dustwrapper which is not price-clipped (Published price 10s 6d). There are 3 small strips of paper strengthening to the reverse of the dustwrapper (spine head/tail and upper edge of rear flap). Generally attractive, tight condition.Dedicated to : "The Past Present and Future Readers in the British Museum Reading Room". This is a scarce collage of histories, reflections and commentaries of a female reader at the British Museum. Precedes the US Edition published by E.P Dutton in 1937.
