First edition, very good blue cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) with pasted on label to spine shows some rubbing to cover edges and mild bumping to cover corners, ink name stamp at front pastedown and som eother very light trace wear. 129 pages. Still an attractive copy of this hard to find early work from Brooks that includes chapters on Old America, The Culture of Industrialism, Young america, Our Critics, Our Awakerners and Toward the Future.
