Edinburgh & Glas : J Mundell , 1796 . . VG . 8VO . These letters were published anonymously in the Public Advertiser form 1769 to 1771 and were composed with a healthy appetite for personal invective. The first authorized edition appeared in 1772. Bound in smooth contemporay calf with gilt ruling and black spine label. Scuffing and wear overall with spine dulled. What appears to be a small nail hole penetrating the upper board.
