(1st US) Slightly smaller book, dark green cloth spine, green marbled boards, gilt lettering very bright on spine, gray inside covers and adjacent end papers, 190 lightly browned heavy pages. DJ has green and black illustration of Pasternak on front, praise inside back flap with Edmund Wilson, Harrison E. Salisbury, Albert Camus. DJ is badly torn at top front edge near tip and top front spine indentation, microtears at spine edges with slight wear. Fair DJ/Fine book.
