About This Item

[Lexington: Thomas Smith, 1824. 24pp. (only, of 63pp.). Dbd. Light foxing. Small tear to bottom corner of last page of text. Very good. Alas, this is the first section only - a complete copy would be 63pp. An exchange of letters between Adair and Jackson regarding Jackson's charge of cowardice with reference to Adair's Kentucky troops in the Battle of New Orleans. Very rare, and accorded a "b' by Howes, who writes, "Anti-Jackson campaign document, based on material in McAfee's WAR IN THE WESTERN COUNTRY." HOWES A40, "b". PIERSON, LEXINGTON IMPRINTS, 1. STREETER 1661. SABIN 35374.
