Scattered spotting. Hardcover. pp. xii, 126. Introduction by Garrison. Blockson 9625; Dumond, page 110. Sabin 95499. George Thompson was sentenced to twelve years at the Missouri State Penitentiary for "slave abduction," in 1837 for helping slaves escape to Canada. Thompson was a British abolitionist who took direct action and faced angry mobs in Boston.
