About This Item
Milton Keynes: unpublished, 1994. No Binding. Very Good. [1 ALS] A letter from John Daniel, Vice-Chancellor of The Open University to Lady Wilson thanking her and Lord Wilson for attending the University's 25th anniversary reception at Walton Hall in May 1994. "As you could see, it meant a great deal to all those present to have our founder and inspirer there". The Open University 25th Anniversary card is in very good condition, lightly creased with a brown stain to the lower cover. This letter comes from the private collection of British Prime Minister Harold Wilson and his wife Mary who died recently at the age of 102. After her husband's death in 1995 Mary Wilson continued to live in the couple's Ashley Gardens mansion flat in Westminster, surrounded by a lifetime's accumulation of books and memories until 2016. Very Good 1994
