Hard cover, first U.S. edition and first printing. One of 15,000 copies published within weeks of the UK edition. notable jacket upper cover design by E. McKnight. The author's second novel following Sheltering Sky.
The overall condition of this copy is very good. The dust jacket is fairly good, with some rubbing and small tears on top, one larger tear on the front cover. The book itself is very good+. The interior pages are very clean with no marks, bends, tears, or stains. Slight age discoloration on edges of pages and a few very slight superficial marks on the fore edge, which do not leak into the pages. The binding is in excellent condition.
