Black and white illustrated frontispiece, by Norman Hepple, who also drew the internal illustrations. Illustrated cloth covered boards with yellow titles to the front panel and backstrip. Bumping and some rubbing to the backstrip edges and book corners. Heavy rubbing to the book panels and there is a small chip to the lower left-hand corner of the backstrip. There is the remains of a sticker to the top left-hand corner of the front panel. Browning, foxing and son staying to the text block edges with light browning to the internal text. Offset tanning to the endpapers. To the top left-hand corner of the front paste-down is the name of the school the book came from, and the number of the book. The rear hinged has cracked.
