This is a first French translation of Helbig's study of the Homeric monuments. / Wolfgang Helbig was a German classical archaeologist born in Dresden. He is known for his studies involving the wall paintings of Campania (Pompeii). PROVENANCE: Guy Loumyer, with his rubber-stamp, wrote a book, Les traditions techniques de la peinture medievale, (1914). And : Un traite de peinture du Moyen-Age: l'Anonymus Bernensis, (1908). I believe he was a resident of Bern.
