The text illustrated with eight 8 coloured plates and numerous black and white illustrations. Illustrated endpapers. Pale maroon cloth boards with gilt writing on spine. Illustrated dustwrapper, Frederick McCubbin 'Princes Bridge 1908', with maroon and yellow writing on front panel and spine. This book was first published without illustrations in 1954, this reprint has no dates, but is circa 1983 according to the National Library of Australia. "In 'The Legend of the Nineties' Vance Palmer creates a rich portrait of the most tumultuous decade in Australian life.".the only damage to the book of book is a trace of foxing to the top edges of the text block, And a slight loss of colour across the bottom edge of the front panel and the spine section, of the dustjacket..
