About This Item
New York: Delacorte Press, 1972. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Plus/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾. N/a. 275pp. 1972. First printing stated. A biro gift (?) inscription to the half title page by the author and flat signed. 'For the Nights With appreciation for a Scottish idyl Gertrude Schweitzer'. Therefore a scarce signed copy of this book with something of a cult following. Original publisher's orange and black cloth boards - gilt embossed to the spine. No other inscriptions. A few scattered soil marks and several tiny fox or stain marks to the fore-edge. The jacket has a large price-clip (?) to the head of the front flap and a chip to the head of the spine. Several minor chips to the corners and a larger chip to the jacket at the head of the spine. It also has an open short tear to the head of the spine. Several creases to the lower corner of the front flap. A good plus signed copy in good jacket.
