(42)pp. From an edition of 75, this is one of fifteen proof copies, with two sets of proofs of the illustrations, an extra suite, and an original pencil drawing, each signed by the artist, Alan James Robinson, and with a special binding. The colophon is signed by the artist and the binder, Daniel E. Kelm. Contains five erotic etchings, colored "... la poupée," and seven wood engravings. The original drawing is based on the frontispiece etching. The binding is full alum-tawed pigskin with an inset cast-paper bas relief by Robinson, based on the frontispiece design. The proofs, drawing, and extra suite are laid in to a linen chemise, and housed together with the book in a specially-designed linen box, with two drop-back sides intended to suggest the wings of a swan. Very fine.
