Boston, MA: Crosby, Nichols, and Company, 1855. Fifth Edition. . Hardcover. A book by the grandfather of T.S. Eliot. Brown cloth with gilt titling and decoration on spine, blind-stamped border and insignia front and back, 190 pages. There is a nice gift inscription on the end paper - it is interesting to note that the date of the gift inscription (December 25, 1854) precedes the date on the title page (1855). Cover has light edge wear with the exception of the spine ends which have more wear, light shelf wear with some spots of pale discolouration, spine is sunned and gilt is slightly faded, text block edges are darkened and have some tiny specks, significant foxing spots to end papers and throughout text, binding is tight. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees.
