Toronto: NC Press Limited, 1993. First edition.. A fine (new) copy.. Pp. 263, (1); 1 double-page map, 22 black-and-white photos (8 are full page). Color pictorial stuff wrappers, lg 8vo. This volume documents a Canadian expedition to the Yangzi Gorge region of China in 1992. The expedition was organized to gauge the potential cultural destruction of the daunting and controversial Three Gorges Dam project. That project was completed about 2003 and all generators at the dam are currently online producing power. Bai Di Cheng and other towns along the Yangze Gorge have now been flooded. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
