About This Item
The Heritage Press, 1937. Hardcover. Good. Hardcover with bluish-green or greenish-blue cloth covered boards, with a stylized graphic of grass in gilt on front board and along spine, with the design and title, author, and illustrator name on spine. No slipcase. Board cloth is clean, just a few scratches. Light shelf wear to lower board edges and spine. Thumb marks on lower corner of text block. On the page after the title page, which features a poem of Whitmans', there is an inscription, several lines long, in Spanish and dated 1961. If there had been a tissue guard between illustration and title page, it is no longer present. Pages are age toned. The ink on some of the illustrations has rubbed off on page opposite. Corner tips have very minimal wearing to cloth. This book appears to not have been very often. Binding still in good shape, nice reading copy. 527 pages.
