Spine has five raised bands, morocco title label, gilt decoration to compartments. Double gilt fillet border to boards, gilt hashed board edges, gilt decorated turn-ins. All page edges gilt. School prize bookplate to front pastedown endpaper (Withenfield House, Cheshire, dated 1872). Some rubbing to edges of boards, front joint partially cracked but board is securely attached, a few light patches of foxing to text. French language. Overall condition is Very Good.
