Including his best-known work of verse, Lays of the Scottish Cavaliers. Bound by Bickers (binder's ink stamp to front endpaper) William Edmondstoune Aytoun was a Scottish poet, who served as a professor at the University of Edinburgh. A charismatic lecturer, Aytoun attracted large number of students, and has been considered on of the first modern professors of English literature. In a calf binding. Externally, smart, with just some slight rubbing. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright, with just some spotting to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed
