About This Item
Washington, DC: US Government Printing Office, 1965. Wraps. Good. Illustrated wraps. 188 pp. A report that studied "the failure of local officials in several states to adhere to their oath of office to support the Federal Constitution. The commission focused on investigating Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida, looking at the failure of local officials to prevent or punish racial violence, concluding that Mississippi was by far the worst in this matter.
