First edition, 8vo, (ii), 288, (4 advertisement) pp. Frontispiece and 3 plates plus a few vignette illustrations, endpapers browned, contemporary bookplate and a small, more recent bookseller's label to the foot of the paste down, W.H. Smith blind stamp to the fly leaf and half title. Original gilt titled decorative cloth, spine slightly browned and rubbed.
