About This Item

London: Hamish Hamilton, 1970. VG/VG. First edition in d/w not price clipped. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, without dedication or inscription on front endpaper. Sadly, Alan Moorehead suffered a stroke in 1966 and this signature is shakey and smudged. The book is a collection of autobiographical essays covering the period from 1938 to 1952. Some spotting and dusting to edges; d/w has several short edge tears (longest 15mm); else a very good copy, in a very good d/w, of a SCARCE first edition SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. D/w now protected in a detachable, non-adhesive, clear sheaf.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Hardback. Very Good/Very Good.
