About This Item

As New. 1970. First Edition. Paperback. Nice Firm Clean copy. A wonderful booklet for the decoy collector. Decoys by John Tax collection owned by Cliff Traff Jr. And John Lindgren. This assembly of pictures was a result of a few 'Tax Decoys' which were shown at the Milwaukee Show in 1969. Some of the old-time collectors suggested a booklet such as this showing as many of the decoys as were available. It was their contention that John Tax was to be recognized as 'the last of the prairie carvers.' John carved ans assembled full shooting rigs of Canada Geese, Mallards and Bluebills. He carved a full 'shooting rog' for a gun club in Osakis. Astronaut John Borman was presented with one of hid Bluebills. A quite scarce piece for the decoy collector or carver. ; Black and white illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 52 pages .
