About This Item

New York : Grove Press, 1964. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾"- 9¾" tall. A scarce first printing of Selby's influential novel. Not price clipped, the jacket bears the original $5 price, and the catalog number GP-304 at the base of the jacket spine and on the flap. First printing stated on the copyright page. The book is square and tight, with a touch of soil to the bottom edge and a couple of faint spots to the fore-edge. Jacket is quite good, with a couple of minute tears to the top edge, and a little creasing to the front panel. Overall quite a nice unmarked copy. In protective mylar
