Text is clean in both and unmarked, bindings are tight in both, pages are tanned due to age in both - see each vol. for details. Covers are damaged in both. Vol. 1: Is clean over all cover has damage at spine, rubbed, cloth cover is shrinking. Glossary, Index, 315 pages. Vol. 2: is starting to crack at front top, is very heavily rubbed, and cloth is splitting along spine. Both of these are great reference works for anyone interested in the study of insects and other bugs. They are both loaded with detailed B&W illustrations. Glossary, Index, 416 pages.
