Paris: Auguste Picard, Editeur, 1927. First edition. Paperback. Good +. Quarto, original printed paper wrappers in glassine jackets. Two volumes; volume II is pictured. 544, 604pp. Very good. Glassine is quite chipped along spines. llustrated. Black and white plates. A postumous work of De Lasteyrie, published under the care of Marcel Aubert. Inscribed by Aubert to a noted art historian and critic. Also laid in is an inscribed photo of the author dated 1935 while at Yale University.
