Edinburgh: David Douglas, 1880. [Scottish Family History] PRIVATELY PRINTED, the only edition. Quarto (29 x 23cm), pp.[4] xii; 153 [1]. With a genealogical scheme, occasional small in-text illustrations, and three engraved plates showing charter seals. Publisher's brown pebble-grained cloth, with gilt titles to spine and gilt armorial devices stamped to boards. Brown-coated endpapers. A presentation copy showing a pencil inscription to verso of fly-leaf: 'given by F. Napier.' Moderate spotting to title page and rear leaves, with light spotting throughout. Moderate wear and a few marks to cloth, with some fraying to head and tail of spine. A scarce book available in only a handful of libraries in the UK. Very good.
