About This Item
Wichita, KS: The McCormick-Mathers Company, 1949 The McCormick-Mathers Company, Wichita, KS. 1949. Hardcover. First Edition. Inscribed by Anna Walsh on the title page. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Fine; two small scuffs on the rear. No DJ. Pictorial cloth boards and spine with black lettering on the spine and front board with character colored drawings on the front board and rear. Word usage tables as endpapers. 125 pp 8vo. This is a book on language etiquette which decidedly includes decorum in the use of words. In the realm of good breeding, sloppy language is as inexcusable, repulsive, and unforgivable as is slovenly dress or uncleanliness of person. Many tables on words and sentence structure along with many poems on why good language is a sign of character. A clean pristine copy.
