New York: A.L. Burt Company, 1900. Hardcover. Very Good. First American edition. Embossed red titles. A crack in the gutter, slightly bumped corners, and rubbing else very good with previous owner label on the front free endpaper. Noted for writing about the lives of French Canadians, this volume of short stories contains some of his best work and was the basis for the 1922 silent film starring Agnes Ayres and Theodore Kosloff.
