About This Item
Rochester, NY: Stecher Litho. Co, 1916. Generalized light wear. Light color offset/show through in few places. The last page and back cover missing approx. 1/4", possibly due to cutting damage, however it does not interfere with any text or illustrations.. This children's book is beautifully illustrated by Margaret Evens Price. 12 pages, with a stapled thick-card wrapper cover. The full color and three color lithographs in the book perfectly exemplify the ability of the Stecher Lithography Company. Shared with the colorful lithography is a sweet story, told in verse, about a mystical fairy land that children can visit in their sleep. The text and illustrations share the pages, bringing together the story and imagery to create a fanciful experience. 13 1/2" x 7" OCLC - 0 (Oct. 2018). This title is part of a larger series issued by the Stecher Lithographs Company. Most are illustrated by Margaret Evens Price, but few are also written by her as well.
