London: George Newnes Limited, 1899. New Edition. Original Cloth. Very Good Plus. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Type: Z 759pp. A lovely copy in original binding - a very fresh, bright copy. New edition. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine and a black, red and gilt embossed picture to the front board and spine. All edges gilt. There is some spine lean and there is a bump to the head and tail of the spine. Bookplate to the front paste down, reading 'with the compliments of the editors of the "Home Magazine" and with an area of ghosting to the front end paper. Fold out map to the rear of the book and a fold out frontispeice plate. Numerous drawings throughout. There is slight foxing to the fore edges and light foxing to the frontispeice plate, title page and rear of the fold out map at the rear of the book and a couple of the index pages. Clean and tight - a really lovely, well preserved copy.
