Illustrated throughout with a folding map, one folding plate, and over two hundred and fifty in-text illustrations, some of which are full-paged. Collated complete. An account of the peninsula of Scandinavia and the life of its people through a series of journeys made by the author, with stories from the Arctic circle, the fjords, islands, and much more. Written by Paul Belloni Du Chaillu, a French-American traveler, zoologist, and anthropologist. In the original pictorial blue cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing to the extremities and boards. Fading to the spine and parts of the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound with folding plate detached but present. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. A small closed tear to the front folding map due to handling. Good
