Reprint of popular novelist White's first book on East African hunting, part of a uniform set of his works; he intends to present a picture of Africa as it was, neither exaggerated to the point of ridiculousness nor understated to the point of boredom. Hardcover, full olive cloth, gilt titling. Light wear to book, covers lightly spotted, gilt dull; jacket rubbed & edgeworn, missing a large chunk roughly two inches square from the base of thge spine, minor damage to lower front hinge; page edges lightly stained; endsheets tanned. Text clean; [6], 440 pages, appendices on weather, animals 'collected', weapons, differences between Americans & English, recommended kit; b/w frontispiece.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/Fair. 5½" by 7½".
